In recent years, genital surgery has become much more common and has contributed to the fact that this topic is being discussed more openly. Despite this, many men are still embarrassed and have a high inhibition threshold when it comes to consulting a specialist. Common concerns include penis lengthening or thickening or even tightening the scrotum. Various non-surgical and surgical options are available.

Consultation
During an initial consultation at the Clinic for Aesthetic Surgery, we will discuss the possible options and how treatment would proceed in a discreet and relaxed atmosphere. If you decide in favour of a procedure, a further consultation will follow to discuss any questions you may have and to plan the procedure.

Intervention
Depending on the procedure being performed, a local anaesthetic may be sufficient. If necessary, this is supplemented by twilight sleep or anaesthesia. The duration depends on the procedure.
Autologous fat (with PRP if necessary) is suitable for thickening the penis. The fat can be harvested from the abdomen, for example, then processed and used for natural thickening. This procedure is usually performed under local anaesthetic or with a short twilight sleep.
A small incision in the pubic area is required to lengthen the penis. This involves modifying the ligamentous apparatus to lengthen the penis. This procedure is usually performed under a short anaesthetic. A combination with a penis thickening is possible.
If a tightening of the scrotum is performed, an incision is required at the lower end. Excess skin is removed and the scrotum is reduced in size. This can also result in a slight lengthening of the penis. The procedure is usually performed under local anaesthetic with a light twilight sedation.

Aftercare
The operation is performed on an outpatient basis. There is usually little to no pain after the operation, but the tissue may swell more. Wearing constricting underwear, cycling, bathing, sexual intercourse and sport should be avoided for 4 to 6 weeks. Showering is possible the day after the operation.
